Good evening one and all,
We come to you with two news items this evening. Firstly we are officially announcing the bands end.
After two fabulous years making music and touring, receiving much critical acclaim in the process, we’ve decided to call it a day. We would like to thank all the wonderful people who supported us, bought our music and came to our shows. The people who we simply must thank by name will be included in the second news item this evening.
News Item 2…
We’re going to deliver to all you great people the self made documentary ‘Villa Del Vibro & The Trouble With Feedback’.
The documentary is a candid work which will allow you to see exactly what making an album with JABG can be like.
We will post the film here on Wednesday at 7pm. Those people who really went the extra mile for us and gave us such joy will be tagged in the video post.
Below is a small snippet of the 40 minute documentary.
Once again, thank you for all your support and energy.
The LIMITED EDITION version of the brand new studio album from Jon Amor Blues Group – Villa Del Vibro – is now available now available exclusively from bandcamp.com where you can also hear all the tracks in their entirety!
Having successfully recorded our second studio album we were out on the road again playing festivals, clubs and pubs in no time at all! Thank you to all those people who made an extra effort to make your appreciation felt after the shows and who danced hard while we were on stage! We are about to hit the road again next month touring the U.K – we’ll also be visiting the Netherlands and Belgium. The album is currently being mixed and will be ready for mastering at the start of October, Lovely. Check our show dates to see if we’re in your area next month and stay tuned for some exciting new campaigns we’ll be running leading up to album 2 release!
After a long drive all day on Sunday 15th July, we managed to check in and were lucky enough to catch the last 30 minutes of B.B King’s performance at Peer Festival – the man is still mesmerising! We returned to the site the following day and got set to open the show for the legendary John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) that evening. We arrived to be told 6,000 tickets had been pre-sold, and they expected quite a few more. We had a great show before kicking back and enjoying John Fogerty’s set – thanks to John and his crew for having us and providing us with Stage passes for his show.
Relaxing over now though as we’re about to leave for Goodmerry Farm Studios, Cornwall to record our second album. We’ll be headlining Devon’s own ‘Dubfest’ Friday night on the way to the studio. See you there if you’ve got your tickets. We’ll keep you posted and let you know when we’re back from the vast wilderness that is rural Cornwall!
JABG will be following their appearance at Bath International Music Festival on 1st June with a performance the next day at Highlands Festival, NL. Throughout June and July the band will be busy writing new material, in between shows, for their 2nd album – taking them up to 16th July where they will be sole support to John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) at Peer Festival, Belgium.
Having just returned home from a very successful show at Moulin Blues Festival, we can announce that our BBC Radio 2 Session for Paul Jones’ will be aired 7-8pm Monday 14th May. Thank you to all the crew at Moulin Blues, the festival goers who refused to let the rain dampen their spirits and to Jimmie Vaughan for ending the day in such style!!!
